If you got a problem, YO, I'll solve it

About

To make experiences resonate, I combine the cerebral with the visceral, and often that involves solving problems in unanticipated domains

I graduated in Computer Science at University of Colorado Boulder. Though I focused my studies on artificial intelligence, the technology had not yet caught up in industry. So I started my career in broadcast technology and augmented reality in 2002. Nowadays, I’m happy to say AI is out of its long winter, and I get to combine it with various realities, virtual and augmented, in my work.

My other interests, to engage with people to effect change and induce wonder, have resulted in projects with a variety opportunities and challenges. From growing bioluminescent algae to controlling ferrofluid and building remote controlled cars with computer vision, my favorite projects do things that have never been done before. The tools for this vary from test tubes to instruction pointers and I’ve enjoyed sharing my enthusiasm for these crazy projects with clients, watching them also become engaged in the concepts. I’m comfortable on set shooting a case study or building an addressable led art car.
